I am currently a first-year graduate student pursuing a masters degree in photojournalism at the University of Missouri and am interning for the summer at the Reno Gazette-Journal. After obtaining a BBA in Marketing from Southern Methodist University and working at the campus newspaper for 4 years, I realized that my true passion was really in photojournalism.
I think my deep interest in photojournalism can be summed up in one word: Curiosity.
I am always curious about the world around me. I like to discover and gain insight into things that others may pass over. I like meeting new people and gaining insight into their lives. I enjoy doing something new every single day. I like to find out WHY and HOW things are they way they are. And, of course, the best way to share all this is through photos.
Simply put, there is no other job I could wake up every morning and be happy to carry out.
